AMD Plans to Launch Ryzen 5 7600X3D as OEM Exclusive, Possible MSRP Leaked

Ryzen 5 7600X3D will have a price tag of $249 but can you buy it?

The rumored Ryzen 5 7600X3D CPU is most likely going to cost $249 as per the recent rumor but it may not be available for purchase to customers individually. It’s expected that it will be OEM and SI-exclusive, making it the first 3D CPU to see such a fate.

The pricing looks good but it will be too bad if it can’t be bought

Take this rumor with a grain of salt but our pricing prediction may end up pretty accurate. The Ryzen 5 7600X3D, which we recently posted about is expected to enter the market as per the original plan. The first information about the CPU was given by the leaker @AnhPhuh who said that the processor will be launched in early September.

It looks like he may be right about the leak as this coincides with the leak by MLID, who recently uploaded a video talking about Ryzen 5 7600X3D. However, more information has been revealed about this 3D chip which may disappoint you. Tom did confirm that 7600X3D is coming in early September and quoted a source, which said that it’s going to launch in the first half of the next month.

The Ryzen 5 7600X3D is supposedly rated at 65W and will be launched for $249. However, the MSRP isn’t final and could be anywhere between $249 and $300. However, the surprising news is that the CPU supposedly won’t be available for the DIY market. Meaning, users wouldn’t be able to buy it like any other regular Ryzen CPU as the 7600X3D will be specifically for OEM and SI(System Integrators).

The 7600X3D would have been a nail in the coffin for AMD’s own Ryzen 9600X for $249 but it looks like AMD already knew that. Therefore, the company is supposedly not going to take any risk by launching it in the regular DIY market. This means users who want to go for the 3D CPU with the Zen 4 architecture will still have to opt for the more expensive Ryzen 7 7800X3D and wait for the Zen 5 Ryzen 9000X3D CPUs that are delayed for 2025.
