As per the latest rumor, NVIDIA is likely bringing the RTX 50 Refresh cards the next year, but there hasn’t been any official announcement yet.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 SUPER Rumored to Launch in Early 2027 As Report Suggest The GPUs Won’t See Launch This Year
Rumors are circulating that NVIDIA is preparing its Super series for the RTX 50 Blackwell gaming GPUs after having delayed or cancelled the GPU lineup due to higher procurement costs for the VRAM. While NVIDIA didn’t announce it is working on any “SUPER” series, several reports indicate that the cards are back on track as scheduled.
Instead of launching this year as previously assumed, the new RTX 50 Super series is expected to launch next year. This is as per the report by Benchlife, which suggests an early 2027 launch. Benchlife didn’t quote any source, but it usually gets information from supply sources. This could be true or false, but Benchlife’s track record has been good. Considering the market already has 3 GB GDDR7 memory modules from major memory makers such as Samsung, Micron, and SK Hynix, the possibility of higher VRAM cards making it into the market is high.
However, in our understanding, the fastest launch time for GeForce RTX 50 Super series graphics cards using 3GB GDDR7 memory particles will be in early 2027, which is CES 2027.

As per another leaker @Zed__Wang, the RTX 50 Super cards will also include a new RTX 5060 variant called RTX 5060 Super, which supposedly brings 12 GB GDDR7 memory. This is something that fans wanted from the RTX 5060, but NVIDIA never chased the higher VRAM approach. Instead, it chose to retain the 8 GB memory configuration from the past. It will be good to see the RTX 5060 with 3 GB memory modules, and it will be particularly helpful for mid-range offerings such as the GeForce RTX 5070, which currently is in a disadvantageous position against the RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT.
With 3 GB GDDR7 memory modules, the RTX 5070 will gain an additional 6 GB of VRAM capacity. Similarly, the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5080 will gain 8 GB of memory capacity, bringing the total capacity from 16 GB to 24 GB. There seems to be no RTX 5090 Super with 48 GB VRAM, as NVIDIA believes the 32 GB VRAM capacity is sufficient for gamers.
Coming to the RTX 50 Super launch reports, it’s expected that NVIDIA will reveal the new series at CES 2027, just like it did last year for the RTX 50 launch. So, we are nearly six months away from seeing a higher-capacity RTX 50 GPU stack that has no competition from AMD, especially in the high-end segment.
